Veterans Day Parade

День Ветеранов - Парад 

This year our school, Geneva Academy of Roseburg,  participated in parade, honoring American veterans and currently serving military.

The day started out very cold, but by 11:00 am it was sunny and warm.
We, Nicole and I, were there too, riding on the float, sitting on the hey.
Younger students were riding on the float and older ones were walking along, carrying flags and banners.
It was beautiful and breathtaking to see all the veterans and military happy faces.
Our students wrote Thank-You cards for veterans and were handing them down as our float was going through Downtown. Kids in line received candy from Geneva school too.

We also were singing songs and shouting - 

- "Thank you, Veterans!"

- "God Bless America!"

It is quite sad that in public school children are not allowed to mention God or pray.....

It was beautiful. Perfect Fall colors and slow fall of the leaves. Almost surreal.
The God gave us a perfect day to honor the people.

For those inquisitive minds - a big building with green roof is our library; the white house with columns and pretty green loan... yes, you guessed it right - the City Hall and Court House.

В этом году наша школа, Женева Академия Розбурга, принимала участие в параде для Ветеранов. В этот день все ветераны и активно-служащие принимают поздравления и благодарность от страны. 
Мы с Николетой конечно же были там тоже. День начался сильным холодом, но позже вышло солнце и нам было очень жарко.
Вся малышня сидела в повозке на стогах сена, а взрослые студенты несли флаги, раздавали конфеты и открытки, которые младшие классы подписали для ветеранов. 

Мы пели песни и выкрикивали - 

- "Спасибо вам, Ветераны!"

- "Бог, Благослави Америку!" 

К сожалению, в государственных школах упоминать Бога запрещено. 
Напоминает вам Совдепию СССР-ию? Мне даже очень. 
День был красивый, с медленно опадающили листьями, и приятно было видеть сияющие лица вереранов.

Для любознательных умов - большое здание с зеленой крышей это наша библиотека, а белое здание с колоннами и зеленым газоном - Белый Дом и Дом Суда.
