Have you heard about Craftsy.com? I am sure you have. I enrolled in several classes. Some are free, some are not.
The latest class I took was Beginner Serging. I have a serger and kinda know how to use it. But it never hearts to learn more, right? After watching the class two pieces of craft were born!
My soft and boxy bags! So proud of them and myself!
They are shaped with fusible fleece, have a zipper pull, lined, and have tabs on both sides.
What did I learn?
My Singer cover-lock doesn't like to work on heavy weights and many layers.
I've head about this from different people, but now I know it for myself.
Well, I started and did all I could on my serger, but finished bags off on regular sewing machine.
They are lovely!
I still have some fusible fleece left and will make a bag for my husband. When we go on the trips, this bags are so handy for all the toiletries and such.

Yes, I am a Copy-Cat!
But really, this toy is adorable and I wanted to make one for my little nephew.
Now, the toy is on its way to Ukraine.

Но разве вы не согласитесь что эта игрушка настолько мила, что не связать ее просто не возможно. Связала я Мальчика-Совенка для своего маленького племяшки. И игрушка уже в пути на Украину.

Before September

Before September - Перед Сентябрем

Very often I feel that I keep on catching up with life, my craft, my blog...
Why I am falling behind? Should I look deeper into it or just acknowledge and move on?

I'd like to show you several more pictures.
We had one and a half week of Summer break for Nicole and Jason had one week off.
We went to the ocean, came home, and in a few days went south to visit Jason's brother and his family.

On the way there we stopped by Kid's Activity Center. They had a huge building with games and attractions, track for go-carts, pond with boats, and miniature golf course. Since my husband loves golf, that's where we went.

Частенько я бегу позади паровоза. Никак не успеваю написать о событиях вовремя. Хм.. стоит ли мне серьезно задуматься об этом или осознать и двигаться дальше?

Я хочу показать еще несколько фотографий снятых в период Николетиных каникул. У папы тоже выпала целая неделя выходных. Так мы сьездили к океану. Отдохнув пару деньков дома, мы двинулись на Юг, к брату Джейсона.

По пути мы увидели Детский Центр. Конечно остановились. Огромное здание было полно аттракционов и игр. На улице тоже было нескучно - озеро с моторными лодочками, скоростные машинки, разные качели и конечно мини-гольф на 18-ямок (не уверена в правильности термина).
Поскольку наш папа заядлый любитель гольфа, туда мы и двинулись.
Видите что нам дали спец. резиновые гольф-клюшки и цветные мячи. Николь конечно выбрала все розовое.

So, this is the time of the year. Kids go back to school, parents get some free time (or not).
Our Summer Camp lasted all Summer and Nicole had only one and a half weeks off from school. She practically didn't feel a difference when we came to school this September.

Итак пришло время возвращаться в школу. В этом году ребенок идет в "нулевой" класс и по закону штата - это обычная школа, каждый день. Наш Летний Лагерь закончился за 1 с половиной недели до начала занятий. Так что Николета и не почувствовала отрыва от школы.

Trip to the Pacific Ocean

Hi my Friends and Family!

We went to the West coast last weekend. 
When heat hits us in the Valley, its always good to escape to the cool breezy side. 
It happened that we do it every year. And every year we do the same things all over again!
In the morning we get up, have breakfast, get ready, and drive West, to the Pacific Ocean.
This time history repeated itself!

Мы были у океана в прошлые выходные.
Когда жара наконец-то достигает пика, мы стараемся сьездить к прохладному океану.
Вода там зимой и летом остается на цифре +10С.
Ездим мы по наезженной тропе к Тихому Океану каждый год.
Утро началось дома  с завтрака. Мы потихоньку собрались и отправились в путь.


We were at the New Port Bay Area around one, had sandwiches made by mom me, and went on the adventure. That's how Nicole calls it.
We checked out when Sada's Japanese restaurant gets to open, then went to the Undersea Garden. Pretty cool, but this was not the best dollar spent.

Мы были в городке Нью Порт.  Остановились на парковке, перекусили приготовленными мною сендвичами и пошли к заливу с его многочисленными ресторанчиками и магазинчиками.
Остановились у Японского ресторана Сада, чтобы узнать в котором часу он открывается.
Потом пошли в Подводный Сад. Это небольшой аквариум под водой. Обычно там делают небольшое шоу, а после можно просто ходить и любоваться живностью.
